The 2024 edition of the Child of Wales Awards, slated for September 27 at Swansea Arena, persists in its mission to recognise the exceptional achievements and unwavering fortitude of young Welsh individuals. The respected judging panel for this esteemed event comprises notable personalities celebrated for their significant contributions across various sectors.

From the world of sport, the judging panel includes Shane Williams MBE, a former Welsh rugby union player widely regarded as one of the greatest wingers in rugby history, and Sir Gareth Edwards, another legendary former Welsh rugby player considered one of the greatest players of all time.

From the world of broadcasting and entertainment, the panel includes Owain Wyn Evans, a broadcaster and meteorologist known for his work on BBC Wales and BBC Radio 1, alongside Ruth Dodsworth, an award-winning journalist and presenter with an extensive career in broadcasting. Mark Jermin, an esteemed actor, director, and founder of the Mark Jermin Management & Theatre School, also brings his expertise to the panel.

Representing public life, the judging panel features The Hon. Dr Stuart Lawrence, a prominent figure dedicated to promoting social justice and equality, and Pepe Hart, a former head teacher and winner of the Pride of Britain Teacher of the Year Award. Additionally, Rhianon Bailey, an accomplished entrepreneur and philanthropist dedicated to making a positive impact in Wales, and Blanche Sainsbury, the founder of the Child of Wales Awards, contribute their insights and expertise.
